hello!

I’m Mina, a  director from the lakes and woods of Minnesota. Right now, I’m finishing my B.F.A. in Directing at University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where I am directing Jen Silverman’s The Moors.

As an artist, I chase the moments where we can stitch together the fabric of the earthly experience with the fabric of the cosmos. I believe the earthly experience to be the means to the cosmic, not the obstacle. At that moment of contact between the two lives miracle–the home of wonder. This is the space I craft in daydreams, rehearsals, and companies alike.

To what end? As the world changes, so must our eyes. As the world gets faster, we must get slower. We must relearn to see the world as children do, where everything is new, limitless, and full of the potential of good. Where we do not try to justify what we see, but ask how we can play in it.
